Armani Exchange – sexy and casual for Spring 2010

Tapping into their usual skin-revealing campaigns, Armani Exchange features Brazilian male model Marlon Teixeira of Way Model Management, American male model Clint Mauro of Ford, male model Tomas Skoloudik of DNA, Russian model Irina Shayk of IMG, and model Tamiris Souza of One Management for their spring 2010 campaign shot by photographer Matthew Scrivens. This sexy and steamy campaign is set on the beach under a boardwalk with the models rolling around in the sand, which I feel showcases the collection very casually yet desirable.

26-year-old Brazilian supermodel Raquel Zimmermann of DNA is featured in an editorial entitled “Field Of Dreams” shot by photographer Mario Sorrenti in the February 2010 issue of W magazine. Styled by Camilla Nickerson, Raquel is shown in a white MaxMara cotton and silk shirt, a tan Burberry georgette top with tan silk duchesse satin leggings, a white Armani Jeans cotton shirt with brown Dolce & Gabbana shorts, a white cotton crepe Bottega Veneta romper, a white polyamide and cotton Jil Sander top with white leather Nicole Miller leggings, a white taffeta Celine shirt, a white Gianfranco Ferré top and bra with lambskin Alexander Wang shorts and Balenciaga boots, a tan wool and cashmere Chloé top with tan Chloé leather shorts, a lavender Gucci cotton top with lavender cotton pants, and a silk gazar and chiffon Calvin Klein dress with white Burberry cotton briefs. Utilizing a desert scenery, the majority of the images emphasize the blue skies and the yellow grass making the whites and tans in the garments really stand out while Raquel uses many action poses.

Continuing with the massive collaboration trend this year, Giorgio Armani and Reebok are teaming up to create a co-brand, EA7, and an Emporio Armani/Reebok collection. The beginning of their collaboration began with a footwear collection, which debuted in Emporio Armani’s menswear show at Milan Men’s Fashion Week, showcasing a highlighter yellow EA7/Reebok high-tops. Other than a footwear collection, the line will include an apparel collection blending style and innovative technology. Beginning in July, the collaborated collections will be available globally in Emporio Armani boutiques as well as select Reebok concept stores and retailers.

The designer of this collaboration said, “Today, sportswear and activewear have become really important parts of our wardrobes. I wanted to offer my customers the possibility of wearing sports clothes that were stylish and comfortable. My new alliance with Reebok is a natural consequence of this philosophy.”

For the spring/summer 2010 season, 27-year-old British model Ollie Edwards of FM Agency, who has recently worked with Ralph Lauren, Jones New York, and Lacoste, is replacing Sean O’Pry of VNY as the face of Giorgio Armani. Representing a mature demographic, Ollie is shot by photographer Josh Olins focusing on dignified profiles when the eyewear collection is not present.
