The cover shoot for the March 2010 issue of Numéro Tokyo stars 22-year-old Belarusian model Maryna Linchuk of DNA, who recently appeared in an editorial for Allure by Michael Thompson, shot by David Vasiljevic. Full of flowers, ruffles, and lace, stylist Sarah Ellison shows Maryna in a white geometric-patterned Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci dress with black Christian Louboutin heels, a one-shouldered ruffled cream Electric Feathers dress with pink flowered Viktor&Rolf heels, a black and white Giorgio Armani jumpsuit, a white Dolce & Gabbana lace dress and black M&S Schmalberg bodysuit with black Christian Louboutins, and a one-shouldered cream Lavin dress. My favorite item in this editorial is the pair of Viktor&Rolf heels with pink and purple flowers and pink ruffles.

An editorial entitled “Belle Vue” is featured in the March 2010 issue of Vogue Deutsch shot by photographer Paola Kudacki starring 29-year-old Italian cover girl Mariacarla Boscono of Viva Models, who recently renewed her contract with Givenchy. Utilizing bright contrast, the editorial was shot in Paris, France with none other than the famous Tour Eiffel in the background and Mariacarla in designs by Dolce & Gabbana, Azzedine Alaia, Céline, Akris, and Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci. I really enjoy this editorial from the high contrast to the city of Paris in the back, the black long-sleeve Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci dress is my favorite piece with the sheer plunging v-neckline in the front.

For the February 2010 issue of Dazed and Confused Japan, British male model Daniel Hicks of D1 Models, who was recently featured on the cover of Popeye magazine by Junji Hata, is featured in a dark editorial entitled “An Apple” shot by photographer Rosemary. Styled by Tsuyoshi Noguchi, Daniel is outfitted in seductive garments by the likes of Givenchy and Raf Simons looking very gothic and full of lace. My favorite look in this editorial is Daniel in a black suit with a burgundy bowtie and leather gloves with a fishnet-like material over his face.

In the recent issue of Numéro, 25-year-old Itlian model Bianca Balti of IMG, stars in a religious yet seductive editorial entitled “Faith” shot by photographer Camilla Åkrans. Styled by Franck Benhamou, Bianca is shown in a church revealing her legs, praying by the windowsill, outside by the courtyard, with a been on her arm, and as a nun in designers such as Fendi, Chanel, Givenchy, Dice Kayek, Yves Saint Laurent, and Prada. I think this editorial is a great twist on a religion turned seductive with the white cross-like dress being my favorite look.

In a recent editorial entitled “How To Brighten Up Your Wardrobe” by photographer Sølve Sundsbø for V MAN, Russian male model Arthur Daniyarov of DNA, who was recently in a campaign for Jill Sander, is imaged with the perfect amount of light donning the season’s hottest monochromatic designs. Styled by Jay Massacret, Arthur showcases designs by Burberry Prorsum, Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Z Zegna, and Lanvin. I like this editorial due to the fact that the lighting creates a neon glow making the ensembles jump out of the images.

Supermodel turned filmmaker 31-year-old Danish Rie Rasmussen of One Management, who recently appeared in an editorial entitled “Go Commando” for V magazine, is featured in a bedroom set editorial entitled “Shadow Lands” shot by photographer Amy Troost in The Block #20. Styled by James Worthington DeMolet, Rie looks sleek and sexy in a white and gold Givenchy dress, a white strapless ruffled top with high-waisted black undies, a gray summery dress, a tan long-sleeve top, a black mini dress with feathers, and an open white top with black leggings. Although the garments and Rie are very beautifully portrayed in this editorial, it is a very typical sensual and seductive bedroom, which in my opinion, does not stand out.

For his pre-fall 2010 collection, Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci is sticking to his similar inspiration for his spring/summer 2010 collection of a graphic and androgynous looks with the results being stunning. Riccardo said, “It’s much more clean. I’m going back to Givenchy’s roots, looking at late-sixties, early-seventies French style.”

Riccardo’s signature studding and heavy embellishments are gone being replaced with feminine and masculine elements hitting a bit of eroticism with inspiration from the 1974 film Emmanuelle. The collection features an ivory tuxedo over a shirt dress hemmed in ostrich feathers, yellow plumage over a pale-green fisherman’s sweater, a superchic black coat of wool and leather over a tiny black skirt, an ivory jumpsuit dipped low in front exposing a black lace tank, a delicate white blouse with a bow paired with a tough high-waisted black leather shorts, and even the ever popular Nightingale bag that now comes as a trolley carry-on.

In the February 2010 issue of Marie Claire Italia, photographer Max Cardelli shot an editorial entitled “Nuove Visioni 2010” or “New Vision 2010” featuring model Marine Vacth, 20-year-old French model Heloise Guerin of Women Model Management, French model Melodie Dagault of Marilyn Model Management, 17-year-old Hungarian newcomer Sohpie Srej of IMG, 19-year-old American newcomer Mathilde Frachon of Next Model Management, Czech model Daniela Kocianova of Elite Model Management, Ophelie Rupp, and 19-year-old Russian model Daria Strokous also of Women Model Management. With a plain white studio setting, they are shown in a silver gem embellished Prada top, a one shoulder black Lanvin evening gown, a black and white striped Givenchy blazer, a black and white lace Dolce & Gabbana dress, a blue long-sleeve Gucci dress, a long-sleeve pink insect print Versace mini dress, and a gray with silver embellishment top and belt by Dior.

Their relationship grew and Audrey Hepburn became Givenchi’s prime model and of course the face of Givenchi in a time when starlets, not models, showed off the designer clothes.

In most of the old photos of Audrey’s appearances, she is usually wearing Givenchi and Audrey went on to make his most famous ads. It’s actually hard to find a photo of her in Black and white wher she is not wearing Givenchi.

Those ad campaigns and photos are so popular that people have tried to recreate them as in this photo of model Model Romilly Collins wears the black Givenchy dress made for Audrey Hepburn in the classic 1961 film ‘Breakfast at Tiffanys. Romilly tried to recreate the pose that audrey was in in her dress. That Givenchi dress sold for around $88k at auction at Christies in London, 2006.
