Fashion Models and the Hottest Designer Trends

With bright, colorful eyes and bold red lips, 21-year-old Canadian cover girl Coco Rocha, who recently debuted her first look from her Rococo clothing line at the Grammy’s, is featured in a layout entitled “Hot Coco” for the March 2010 issue of Elle US. Shot by photographer Alexei Hay, stylist Christopher Niquet outfits Coco in a red Dior satin dress and bra with Diane von Furstenberg by H. Stern yellow gold bracelets, an organza coat and blouse by Salvatore Ferragamo with a Leah C. Couture Millinery ostrich-feather choker, a Ports 1961 by Tia Cibani silk/linen coat with brown Alberta Ferretti cotton stretch pants and bracelets by David Yurman, Valentino embroidered silk coat and lacquered lace pants with a green Dooney & Burke bag, and a Bottega Veneta canvas poplin cotton shirt with a Patricia Underwood felted rabbit-fur hat and a yellow gold watch with diamonds and a black satin strap by Dior Timeless. I think the makeup by artist Kabuki and hair by Kevin Ryan adds a great dramatic feel making the garments pop out of the bright white backdrop.

21-year-old Ukrainian model Alyona Osmanova of Storm Models is featured in an editorial entitled “Little White Lie” in Elle US March 2010 shot by photographer Horst Diekgerdes. Styled by Camille Bidault-Waddington with hair by Alain Pichon and makeup by Christine Corbel, Alyona is placed in a simple pale beige backdrop in outfits inspired by the 1950’s era with a modern twist. Full of lace, chiffon, and silk, the editorial looks very light and flowy portraying Alyona as a modern and casual bride-to-be.

In an editorial entitled “Lookbook” for Elle Italia February 2010, 22-year-old Italian supermodel Vanessa Hessler of Glamour Models, Dutch model Charon Cooijmans of Marilyn Agency, Georgian model Anna K., and Dutch model Valerie Van der Graaf of SPS Model Management star in this simple editorial shot by photographer Michael Sanders. These lovely ladies are shown in designers such as Jill Sander, Karl Lagerfeld, Giorgio Armani, Prada, Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana, Pierre Mantoux, Moschino, Chanel, Max Mara, and Ralph Lauren with my favorite item being the gray top with the Karl Lagerfeld embellishment.

In a bohemian-inspired editorial for Elle Greece February 2010 features 24-year-old Ukranian model Nataliya Gotsii photographed by Dimitris Skoulos. Showcasing a variety of sexy thigh-high boots, Nataliya is in very bold shades of purples, browns, reds, off-whites, zebra prints, and blues. My favorite look in this editorial is the zebra print dress and black-and-white fur-vest with a gray beanie and black leather gloves offset with red leather thigh-high boots.

The February 2010 issue of Elle Sweden features 21-year-old Norwegian model Siri Tollerod of DNA in an editorial with Siri getting down and dirty in a variety of denims. Shot by photographer Andreas Sjödin and styled by Lisa Lindqwister, Siri is dressed in denim by Cheap Monday, Diesel, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, Acne, Gant Jeans, and Wrangler using a plain studio background and Siri looking like she’s trying to fix a car.

In a recent issue of Elle magazine, 19-year-old British blonde bombshell Georgia Frost of Marilyn Model Management, who recently appeared in Tush, City, and Velvet magazines, is featured in a hot 80’s style editorial. In this editorial, she is shown in some of 2010’s latest trends such as knee-high socks, sheer tops, bunny ears, exposed lingerie, bows, Doc Martens, and red accents giving Georgia the rock chic, laid back, grunge look utilizing a graffiti felt setting at night.
