Having already been in Lacoste’s fall/winter 2009 and spring/summer 2010 campaigns, 17-year-old Danish male model Lasse Pedersen of DNA is the face of Lacoste’s Red! label spring/summer 2010 campaign shot by photographer Ellen von Unwerth. Utilizing a pop art backdrop, Lasse lets loose being highly animated unlike anything he has done in the past. With Lacoste having been around since 1933, I think this is a very fun loving and appealing campaign to captivate a more youthful generation.

There is never a dull moment when 23-year-old American male model Cole Mohr of Request Models is on the set. For Psycho Cowboy’s spring 2010 lookbook, Cole sports the streetwear style in a variety of denims, outerwear, and graphic tees hanging off of doors, riding a couch as if it was a bull, hiding in a puffy jacket, oddly lounged on a couch, shooting his hand out like a gun, jumping around, and being goofy. Making everything look effortlessly fun, Cole showcased Psycho Cowboy’s collection with mass appeal to all streetwear lovers.

The men’s campaign for French Connection’s spring/summer 2010 is titled “This is the Man” embodying a tough, classic, handsome, and intelligent person featured in a button up dress shirt, in bunny ears stating “Man Should Be Brave,” and in a trench and boots stating “Eat Meat. Dress Well.” The French Connection Manifesto states, “Men have lost the ungentle art of manliness. The man in the street doesn’t know what to bring to a knife fight. He gets nervous around large fish. He can’t tie a full Windsor. Men have forgotten how to snap a bra open with a click of their fingers – women are undoing their own bras to save time! Meanwhile guys are eating little portions of leaves and putting too much gel in their hair. They are wearing t-shirts with dope leaves and robots on them when they are over 22 years-old.”

Their women’s campaign is titled “She is Knowing We Are Looking At Her” being feminine, nonchalant, sassy, and always chic. These simple campaigns really allow their stunning garments to stand out without much explanation.

In an action editorial full of leaps, jumps, and strides entitled “Fast Forward,” Corey Wallace of Chic Management is photographed by Troyt Coburn for the January 2010 issue of GQ Australia. Styled by Jolyon Mason in pieces from Prada’s spring 2010 collection, Corey is shown in hues of black, grays, and blues in front of clear blue skies, fluffy white clouds, and a frost white floor. The best look on Corey is the silk top and wool/mohair jacket with wool/viscose overcoat and wool/viscose trouser looking very chic and sleek ready to hit the streets.

Bright vivid colors, structured prints, and a variety of textures is all over the rooftop editorial entitled “Blaze of Glory” for STYLE: men starring 22-year-old American male model AJ Abualrub of Wings Model Management, who is the Levi’s and Joop spring/summer 2010 campaigns, shot by photographer Eric Ray Davidson. Styled by Joseph Episcopo, AJ is shown in sharp silhouettes and daring, bold shades of green, orange, brown, yellow, blue, and rouge. This editorial is very refreshing and fashion forward like having a runway show atop a skyscraper on a day with crystal blue skies.

Landing his fifth campaign for the season is none other than 19-year-old Canadian male model Simon Nessman of Major Model Management alongside 19-year-old Moroccan newcomer Hind Sahli of DNA for Armani Jeans’ spring/summer 2010 campaign shot by Takay. In a relaxed black-and-white campaign, Simon and Hind showcase the jeans stunningly with mass appeal.

In a quirky editorial entitled “Throb” is Abiah Hostvedt of Red Models put together by photographer Benny Horne and stylist Way Perry. In a very eccentric editorial, Abiah is featured in black-and-white with photoshopped drawings added on. I really enjoy this editorial due to its fun-loving fairytale-like editorial showing angel to monster-like qualities.
