Playing with a fetish theme twisted in a modern and mainstream way, Devon is showcased next to mannequins, as a part of the coffee table and in a variety of woman’s body shaped armor looking like a Barbie-gone-sexual editorial.
For the fall 2009 issue of Self Service, photographer Max Farago shoots 27-year-old model Devon Aoki of One Management, who recently appeared in i-D, Vogue, Numéro, and W magazines, in an editorial featuring the most memorable pieces from this past fall season. Styled by Suzanne Koller, she is showcased in a Y-3 wool and leather jacket, black cotton high-waisted Petit Bateau underwear, a black leather Yves Saint Laurent jumpsuit, a beige mohair coat with a bow collar by Moncler Gamme Rouge, wrapped in a life-size purse, a lace long-sleeved unitard, a Lanvin brown fur shawl, a thick leopard coat, an airplane bracelet, and black knee-high boots utilizing the open skies, green meadows, and beachfront settings.
