In an American beauty pageant theme, the February 2010 issue of Vogue Russia is an ‘American’ issue featuring 21-year-old Norwegian model Siri Tollerød of DNA, who is featured in Vogue Nippon February 2010 as a top model, playing the role of a troubled beauty queen shot by photographer Miles Aldridge. Adorned with jewels galore, Siri is shown sipping on a Diet Coke, in a lavender suit for the swimsuit part of the pageant, with tears of joy winning the crown holding a bouquet of flowers, and in a photograph next to her autograph, Miss America sash, an open bottle of Moet, and a balloon in shades of purple. Although I am not prone to beauty queens, I really like this semi-mocking Russian editorial due to the color choices and all the jewels used to accessorize.
