Wow, I loved them all. They were all so different. Kenley had an incredibly colorfull look. Korto was so Ethnic with such saturated color and Leane’s looked just sleet, well in a sleek ruffle kind of way.
Yep, and the winner was…. drum roll please, the lovely Leanne.
I am glad leanne won project runway season 5 and I really loved her collection. I loved the petals and the look was new and something that could not be anyone other than Leanne. All the project runway season 5 collections were awsome, you can check out all the Season 5 Project Runway collections here.
project runway season 5 leanne won
Here is a recap of Leannes Final runway show on Project Runway.
I love the very complicated made simple and effortless look. It is so fancy and ruffled in a demure and refined kind of way. Those ruffles or petals look stylish and give her a signature of her own without even coming close to look like too much. They really catch my attention and obviously the judges and producers who ultimately made Leanne the new Project Runway star and winner. I can’t say I didn’t see it coming, she was the strongest competitor from the start and took quite a few challenges all in a row. I believe she even won a show with immunity.
You go girl!

Just a quick note about tonight’s project runway, poor suede, no more of him talking in the third person about himself because Suede is off the runway. In a way, I really can’t believe that Suede was kicked off instead of Kenley, Her little hip hop abstraction had zero to do with hip hop. I mean come on now, when was the last time you saw Lil’ Kim with her hair in a bun and high waisted jeans?
That Project Runway Elimination challenge looked like a no brainer.
Kenley’s outfit was not only hideaous, but not even remotely close to Hip Hop other than the ugly gold she used for earings.
Judges, please!
Hip Hop is all about looking comfortable and luxurios at the same time. Kenley’s outfit was neither.
Suede’s outfit at least looked a bit Aerosmith and a bit Rock & Roll. The zipper down the front, the vest and the tightness of the thing.

Anyway, It’s getting close to the finally and I have my Fave…
So here are the runway collections of the hit Bravo TV show Project Runway. I do not know who won yet, but from the pictures, we can all try to guess…
Tonight’s project runway challenge is the “mother / daughter” design challenge that I am watching now as I put up these finale collections.
so check em out…
This first collection image gallery is from Project Runway contestant Joe, very cowgirl looking… kinda that urban cowgirl theme going on here
Urban Cowgirl
Suede and pastel chic, kinda cute and there is a piece or twoin there that I really loved.
Project Runway Suede
Kenley
Korto
Leanne, I gotta say, I just adore her on the show and her clothing designs. She uses the best pleats and they always look so interesting. I found it interesting that she used the same colors through all the pieces.

Jerell, very gold, black and sequined

Who would have thunk it, Jerell finally won a challenge and we lost Terri and the tan deprived Blayne.
Luckily for Blayne, he can now regain his health in the tanning booth.
The losing outfits were just horrid, but then again, this was the most disappointing runway show of the season.

Poor Blayne, his creation there of the lop-sided 1/2 cream and 1/2 neon fabri-icky mess. I believe “pooping fabric” was what Michael Kors said about it. I also must mention that Stella’s influence in the design is clear… those horrid black straps are all Stella.

Anyway… can’t wait to see the new episode of Project Runway this week.
So I love Project Runway, have watched every season religiously and here are the good, bad and the ugly from the last show.
Looking like her model stole the feathers off the Flamingo, Ostrich and a few parrots here is Emily’s awful creation. What the hell was this designer thinking?

The Toilet Paper Frock by Keith

The Granny project by Jennifer

Its kinda odd that normally, I love much of what the designers do, this time however, it was slim pickens.
I really did like this one dress. designed by Jerell, the dress did not win but looked way hot strutting down the runway.

The winner was… a funky dress by Kenley
