SEEKING: Male / Female voiceover artists needed immediately to exactly replicate original “Davey and Goliath” characters.
JOB: Storychimes children’s books (www.storychimes.com) recently obtained licensing rights to re-create and modernize several episodes of the popular 1960′s stop-motion animated television series about a boy and his talking dog. We are looking for authentic replications of Davey and Goliath’s speech patterns, accents, pitch, etc. (NOTE: Davey was originally voiced by a female actor.)
REQUIREMENTS: Artists MUST submit a voiceover sample of either (or both) of the following selections of lines to be considered. All submissions without samples will NOT be considered and will be removed immediately. Resumes also accepted but please NO headshots. Artists selected will be asked to briefly audition for producers in-person and final choice will also be subject to approval by ECLA.
DAVEY SAMPLE:
(Admiring) “Keep it up and we’ll surely win the county swim meet!”
“Hey, wait! It’s against Bob’s rules. (Pause) Oh, OK. Just this once.”
“I wonder what it;s like not to hear anything….to have to talk with your hands.”

“I don’t knowww, Davey…”
“What’cha doin’ Davey?”
“Never ride anyone on handlebars”
